Glaze Coat may have gotten too hot in the mixing process.  This is caused from either over mixing, or Glaze Coat was elevated in temperature prior to measuring and mixing.  Ensure the unmixed Glaze Coat is at room temperature (about 70 °F) prior to measuring and mixing.  It is optimal to pour Glaze Coat when its mixed temperature has reached 90 °F (usually about 10-12 minutes of mixing).  If Glaze Coat is already at an elevated temperature before mixing, it will cause the product to rise well above 90 °F (and may smoke and melt the plastic mixing container).

If the mixed Glaze Coat hardened very quickly after being poured onto the surface and was difficult to spread around, this is generally the culprit.  It is also EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOT to allow mixture to sit in the bucket after mixing.
