Yes. Some fisherman's waders and foul weather gear have a water-repellent coating that must be removed before Shoe GOO Boots & Gloves will adhere. Scrub the area with detergent and allow to dry. Roughen surface to be repaired or protected. If a tear is being repaired, lift up the torn flap part of the tear, apply Shoe GOO to the fabric part of the waders (underneath the outer surface), press the flap back in place, apply Shoe GOO Boots & Gloves over the tear itself and surrounding area. Let Shoe GOO Boots & Gloves cure to a “non-tacky” touch (about 1 hour depending on temperature & humidity) before applying additional coats.
